“It has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve as Poole’s Member of Parliament since 1997.
In what was a difficult election for the Conservative Party it was a disappointment to lose by only 18 votes!
Poole is a great place with a good future and I treasure the moments of all the groups, organisations and individuals who I have worked with in this role.
I wish my successor well and I would like to thank all the many people who have contacted me for the work I have done in Poole and to wish me all the best”
Sir Robert Syms
Malcolm Farrell, Chairman of Poole Conservative Association, said: “It has been a great pleasure working with Robert over the last 15 years, and as his agent over the election period. He has been an excellent hard working MP and has achieved many good things for the people of Poole. ALL at Poole Conservative Association thank him for his valuable contribution to the constituents of Poole and wish him every success”
